It’s All Over The House

During a big wind storm about a month ago, Discount Tire in Arvada was blown over with everybody inside it! To my knowledge, nobody was seriously hurt. I used to buy my tires here for many years.
I use two of these. I understand newer monitors offer a lot of improvements, but these are still great monitors!
Here is a great video that goes over the monitor in detail:
Here is my office. A bit messy, but there it is!

I’m not suggesting everyone go out and buy one of these; newer monitors are of course a great idea and I’m not apposed to them at all. But, if it is convenient to acquire one or two old Cinema Displays…
I just discovered that I can read an entire chapter of a book within a cable movie’s commercial break… and I’m a slow reader. I didn’t time it but I wouldn’t be surprised if the breaks are longer than the movie segments. Why pay for cable television? Why? (I have to for my dad, or it would be but a memory, like pre-remote control television and VCRs.

We didn’t need computers to crank out graphics for our buttons back in the day!

Goodbye to an old, inanimate object/friend! I bought this back in 2009, and after about five or six years gave it to my Dad, who now has a brand-new Mini. Fortunately, this is still able to be used by an aunt of mine, so it’s still chugging along! I upgraded the RAM past what is stated that it can take, and upgraded the hard drive to four times the capacity so it’s good to go. (I did this years ago). It is starting to not work with some web sites as well, and as of a few years ago was unable to upgrade to the latest operating system, but it still does quite a bit just fine.
